ARTZINO (2) does not help himself by making a slow start but can produce a decent finish when given a clear run. He is down in class from his last run when finishing seventh as favourite and is good enough to take this out. YOU AND I (6) ran his best race in some time when being beaten by a nose in a stronger field at Doomben 10 days ago. He would like some sting out of the track but will still be hard to beat no matter what the track conditions. SMOKIN' DE QUO (11) never got into the race fresh up but will improve quickly with the step up to a middle distance. Each way value. MINGARDOS (12) got up late when clearing his maiden status at Doomben 2 starts back and then had no luck from a wide gate last time out. Ryan Wiggins picks up the ride and he is capable of bouncing straight back into the money here.
